Members,

I know that there is a lot of anxiety within the District currently.  It is difficult to be faced with a situation where our budget has to be trimmed.  I know that the press release about our current financial situation has increased fears in many; however, this is a situation that every school system in Indiana is facing.  Our leaders are just the first ones who were brave enough to put it out to the public.  

Dr. Hile addressed the staffing reductions at our District Discussion meeting on Tuesday (Feb.10th). He gave a general update along with a timeline.  He  discussed reductions that have already been made.  He also addressed the Justifiable Decrease in Teaching Positions (RIF) process that is in place.  

I also want to assure you that if there is any position that may have the possibility of being reduced, they will be reaching out to me prior to having the discussion with the teacher.  And, as always, if you are called in for a meeting you may request to have Forum representation with you.  Your building reps will be there for you
